On the Homefront in NC: Life at Home During the Civil War
Costumed living historians will demonstrate a variety of mid 19th century domestic skills such as hearth cooking, sewing, natural dyeing, spinning, and knitting, all while discussing the hardships a common southern lady endured as she did her best to provide for her family during the Civil War. Event time: 10am-4pm.

A Civil War Christmas
Come celebrate a Civil War Christmas. Costumed interpreters will decorate the kitchen in festive themes using natural materials such as holly, magnolia, cotton stalks, fruit, cranberry & popcorn strands. Visitors can enjoy cookies and cider while listening to period music. Costumed military interpreters will be available to discuss how the common soldier spent his time on furlough with friends and family. Event time: 10am-4pm.
